Job Description
Compassion UK (CUK) is an evangelical Christian child development charity whose programmes are designed to give vulnerable children an escape route from poverty.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and engaging Events and Ambassadors Relations Managerto join our Marketing and Engagement Department. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
The key purpose of this role is to establish, build, deepen, maintain and grow CUK’s relationships with existing and potential key partners to achieve acquisition objectives. In addition you will need to be able to use your experience and influence with key partners to help our Regional Partnership Managers maximise all acquisition opportunities.
This position would suit a self-motivated individual with sales and marketing experience with a strong customer focus, exceptional interpersonal and networking skills, and the ability to work well in partnership with others. An understanding of the aspirations and challenges of church leaders and ambassadors and the desire to help remove injustice and poverty and see children achieve their God-given potential are essential requirements for this role. The successful candidate will also need to be an effective communicator with a strong and enthusiastic public speaking ability.
The outcomes for this role are threefold:
- Promote and maintain CUK’s Christian Ethos and Values;
- Maximise acquisitions potential from Events and Ambassadors;
- Effectively manage budgets, communication channels and performance appraisals.
There is an occupational requirement for the post holder to have a personal commitment to theChristian faith as functions within this role will be promoting the organisation’s Christian ethos and enabling people to experience, explore and express the faith-based motivation of its work.
The role is home-based, 35 hours per week with a flexible working pattern. A clean driving licence and car owner required – mileage allowance provided. The role requires travel across the UK. The ideal candidate will be able to attend regular meetings in our Surrey office within a day's travel of their home.
