Description

Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Republic of Georgia) in cooperation with University of Ljubljana and A priori Academic Society from Slovenia, EU calls for papers for a international interdisciplinary conference in humanities and social sciences (TBS2015): ''Civil Unrest and Socio-Political Changes: Marginalisation, Disintegration, Exclusion'', to be held at the Tbilisi State University on 26-29 May 2015. 
All papers should address some aspects of the conference topic, being from the historical, sociological or philosophical perspectives, through art, literature, politics or any other area of humanities and social sciences.

Eligibility

Contributions are invited from  the historical, sociological or philosophical perspectives, through art, literature, politics or any other area of humanities and social sciences.

Costs

  • 100€   - Regular registration         
  • 50€     - Unwaged, non-TSU students
  • Free    - TSU students (enroled in Tbilisi State University)
  • 180€   - Late registration (April 2015)

Registration fee includes conference materials, access to all sessions, tea-breaks, receptions, guided tour of Tbilisi and a trip to the city of Mtskheta.
Registration fee is non-refundable.

Application

Submitt your abstract in English (up to 200 words) to: conference@tbs2015.eu no later than 15 February 2015!
  • Please include following information with the abstract: paper title, author’s full name, e-mail, affiliation/occupation. Subject of your e-mail application: TBS2015 - last name, first name
  • All the applications will be read by the organizing committee who will let the applicant know their decision by 28 February 2015.
  • The conference will be held in the English language. Each participant has been allocated 20 min to present her/his paper, plus 10 min for discussion.
  • The conference will take place at the beautifully renovated main building of Tbilisi State University (1 Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue). PowerPoint presentations available.
  • Selected papers will be published in the post-conference book with the international publishing house.
