Description: HUMAN WAVE is a Non-Governmental, Non Profit making, Apolitical, Secular, Voluntary Organization committed to promote the standard and the quality of life of the disadvantaged and marginalized people of the society. It started working informally in 1997.The project is meant for holistic development of village community. It mainly work for child education, cultural skill development, Health Promotion, Promotion of environmental awareness and Women empowerment.
Human Wave works here for holistic development of village community providing the knowledge and skill. It also help them organizing activities.

Type of Work: Constructing Eco-toilets, Campus cleaning, Village road repairing, Painting & Maintenance of tutorial hall etc.

Study Theme: Study of agricultural process, Problems of agriculture and its possible solutions. Introduction of bio-farming,

Accommodation: Simple accommodation and simple vegetarian/non-veg food will be provided. Volunteers should also share in washing and keeping the place clean.

Language: English at the camp and Bengali among the local people.

Requirements: Volunteers are required to bring a plate, glass, light bedding/sleeping bag, torch, working clothes along with a toilet kit, insect/mosquito repellent, mosquito net, water sterilization tablets, medicines etc.

Approximate Location: The camp will be organized in rural place about 75 k.m. from Kolkata in the southern side in Sunderban area

Notes: There will be no money Changer at the camp site. Volunteers should change money before leaving Sealdah Station or at Sealdah Station but not afterword. Volunteers should reach the camp site by the evening of 23rd November 2014.
