Description: The Spandana Yuvajana Seva Sanghatana is an NGO working mainly with youth to form National Integration , holding sports and work camps in poor villages for their upliftment. It understands themselves in relation to their community identifying their needs and problems and involve them in problem-solving. develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and It also works for the environment conservation by tree plantation, creating awareness among the people and many such other peaceful activities.

Type of Work: Tree planting, bio fencing, campus cleaning, visiting schools and colleges to have interaction with youth, etc.

Study Theme: All the afternoons will be devoted for discussions and volunteers will have the chance to learn from one another's culture. Evenings will be devoted for village visits, vermin culture farms, temple visits, visiting hills/waterfalls and roadside walking.

Accommodation: During the workcamp period the volunteers will be given simple vegetarian food and place to sleep. Volunteers may share common bathroom and toilet.

Language: In the camp English and with the community in the local language Kannada.There will be youth for transalation to communicate with locals.

Requirements: Working shoes, gloves, working dress, sleeping bag, mosquito repellent, toiletries, rain coat/umbrella, pullovers/warm clothes, music instruments, good humor.

Approximate Location: Spandana Yuvajana Seva Sangha, Pragathi First Grade College, Vijayapura, KARNATAKA- INDIA. Approx. 52 Kms. From Bangalore.

Notes: Volunteers should not smoke or drink in the camp venue. All the lights should be switched off by 10.00.p.m. The last 3 days they will be attending the National Convention of SCI-India to be held in Chennai.
