BPIE’s mission is to improve the energy performance of buildings by:
Supporting the development of ambitious - yet pragmatic - buildings-related policies and programs at EU and member state level
Driving timely and efficient implementation by teaming-up with relevant stakeholders
Providing fact based analysis and knowledge, and sharing best practice globally through our network
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the implementation of a project analysing the renovation potentials of the German building stock
Support the organisation of stakeholder discussions and workshops
Collaborate with external partners contributing to macroeconomic modelling
Collaborate with team members in BPIE Brussels office
Contribute to the translation of BPIE texts from English to German
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
University degree-level education in engineering, environmental sciences, physics or other relevant discipline
Background knowledge of Marginal Abatement Cost curves
Experience in conducting market research is an asset
Knowledge of buildings-related policies and strategies is an asset
PERSONAL SKILLS
Working proficiency in English and German
Ability to communicate work matters in a simple and effective way
Ability to work in a small team as well as independently
Ability to manage various tasks and to work with deadlines, flexibility
Ease with interpersonal relations
CONDITIONS
The BPIE offers a paid internship based in Berlin, starting early February for limited duration (most likely 6 months). The internship provides a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the area of energy policies for buildings in Europe.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to be part of a small and dynamic team as well as the chance to interact with various stakeholders at EU and Member State level. Occasional travel to Brussels may be required.
