EVS in Ukraine for Polish

URGENT SEARCH for a Polish EVS volunteer to Ukraine (Vinnytsia, safe place) for 8 months. The project is approved! Its description is at the following address

Contact person: Gerashchenko Iaroslav
Phone: +38(0432) 576616
Mobile: +38(063)8278324

We've organized a diverse environment project with the name "Green school" that is conducted mainly in one of the local suburb schools.
Vinnytsia is a middle-sized city in Ukraine and as well as other developing territories it faces a lot of ecologic issues. People in our country start to be more aware of the problems we exert on the environment, but still this level of awareness is not enough. Our organization aims at solving not the consequence but the root of the problem - low awareness and low involvement of local coomunity. That's why we've organized a diverse environment project with the name "Green school" that is conducted mainly in one of the local suburb schools. The project aims at work with school-kids and their parents, involving them in separate trash collection, learning them the sustainable rules of living through info-campaigns, manuals and master-classes. For this we need a volunteer, who’ll be involved in the project conduction on different levels – from organizing master-classes and environmental teachings for children to designing manuals on sustainable living and disseminating the results of the projects. We believe the EVS volunteer can multiply hugely the effectiveness of the coordinator’s position performance as EVS volunteers show to be highly motivated, skillful and they come from different nationalities, bringing their own experience and views.
As well the EVS volunteer will be involved in other activities that "Nashe Podillia" conducts, this includes assiting in social and youth work to our colleague public organizations and active groups on Vinnytsia and Ukrainian level, office work connected to the "Green School" and assisting with organizing events for the "Network of Public incentives" run by Nashe Podillia.
